Come celebrate the opening of 80x80: An Art Show, the innaugural art exhibition hosted by The Young Affiliates of the Mint, featuring 80 works in honor of the museum's 80th anniversary
The 80 featured works were selected from over 1100 entries, and span a variety of mediums including photography, painting, site specific installation, video, ceramic, textile, and metalwork. The panel of distinguished jurors includes Mary Edith Alexander, curator for Bank of America Corporate Art Program, Grace Cote, Senior Coordinator at Gerald Melberg Gallery, and Lori Kornegay, Curator of Art & Public Engagement at the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art.
Held in Mint Museum Uptown’s Level 5 expansion space, the show will be on exhibit Friday, June 10th to Saturday, June 25th, 2016. click here for event details

September 30th Culinary Canvas event
CLTure, Friendship Gardens and C3 Lab bring you the Culinary Canvas Series dinner event on September 30, 2015 at C3 Lab. The collaborative dinner event series brings together the culinary and arts community for a truly creative visual and edible experience.
The evening will pair Chef Luca Annunziata of Passion8 and local Charlotte artist Alexandra Loesser. The dinner will connect elements of art and cuisine with the theme “Into The Wild.” Attendees will experience a five course meal with hand crafted cocktails provided by TOPO Organic Spirits and craft beer by Triple C Brewing in a gallery atmosphere with stimulating live art and curated music.
The purpose of the event is to help raise awareness and funds for Friendship Gardens while providing a creative platform for the local culinary and visual arts community
Join us for a visual and palate pleasing adventure on September 30th at C3 Lab, a collaborative co-working creative space located at 2525 Distribution St. Charlotte, NC 28203 in South End.
